ABOUT SOLID PRESS-ON TIRES
Press-on tires, also known as cushion tires or press-fit tires, are a type of industrial tire commonly used on equipment like forklifts, tow tractors, and other material-handling vehicles operating on smooth surfaces like concrete. They’re named for their installation method: the tire is pressed onto a wheel hub using a hydraulic press.
Solid tires are typically constructed from durable rubber or polyurethane, making them completely puncture-proof and virtually maintenance-free due to their airless design. These tires are mounted by pressing them onto a steel wheel hub, a process that requires specialized hydraulic equipment.
TREAD OPTIONS
Smooth tread is ideal for indoor use on flat surfaces.
Traction tread provides extra grip for slightly uneven or more demanding environments.
CONSTRUCTION OPTION
- Rubber versions offer reliable shock absorption and are well-suited for most indoor applications.

The business is huge, very professional people and they follow guidelines indeed I can see. First time visiting The Tire Terminal and I wholeheartedly recommend this place. Process was very straightforward, I booked an appointment through their website, they send you a confirmation with a quote, once they receive the tires (they have a huge inventory) they’ll text you to let you know when to drop by. The guys working there are very nice and help you out with any questions and maybe it was the time of the year (January) but I was in and out in 20 minutes. Best part was I saved $300 over the price at the dealer. Whohoo!
